I shared a story of How can a Man making a salary of RM3,000 Survive in Malaysia, after the recent oil price hike from RM1.79 to RM2.79 or there about.
Malaysia had never had an extreme petrol hike until June 2008, when the government raised diesel price by RM1.00 per litre and the same for petrol.
This exercise has spark off a serial increase in production costs, material costs, food related costs, manufacturing and transport for the country.
Many average income earners has to make do with the meager salary they are making. Many have resorted to taking public transport to work or take the LRT.
For now, if I need to go down to Petaling Street from Puchong, I will take the public transport. I mean, I am only paying RM2.00 for return fare in air-conditioned environment, no parking fees to pay and a driver to accompany during off-peak hours.
Otherwise, I would have to fork out RM15.00 for similar trip.
